Bismillah
Assalaamu Alaykum,
"She had a special love for Salah; whenever she
heard that a person had died in a state of
performing Sajdah or in a Masjid, she would pray
that she too would pass away in such a state."
Nasreen's Family friend
The day started as a normal day for Nasreen, mother
of Nabila Naz, Taleem al Qur'an 2005 student. After
praying Fajr herself and waking everyone in the
house to pray, she rested for some time to be
energized for class. Nasreen and Nabila both came
from New Jersey a week ago just to visit the Al Huda
Institute, it was the love for Qur'an that brought
them here.
When she arrived at the institute yesterday, as part
of her daily routine, Nasreen had her breakfast in
the cafeteria, not knowing that this would be her
last meal. She attended the al Asma al Husna class,
studying and memorizing the Names of Allah, not
knowing that this would be her last class. After the
class finished, she went to the masjid adjacent to
the institute to pray her nafl Salah. She then spoke
to her daughter, Nabila, for some time. At around
1:00pm, Nasreen was asked to have lunch, she
responded by saying that she was going to go to
Tafsir class, therefore would eat later on. In the
mean time, a sister asked someone to write something
on the white board in the cafeteria. Nasreen saw the
opportunity to do good and stepped forward in
offering her services and said that she would write
it. And so she did, not knowing that this would be
the last time she wrote.
The Masjid was where her heart belonged, Nasreen
left the cafeteria and decided to pray nafl Salah
before she went to class. As she entered the Masjid,
she helped a sister clean the area by removing
little things out of the way, not knowing that this
would be her last act of kindness. She then made her
way to the usual corner where she always used to
pray, not knowing that this would be her last salah.
It was only moments later that her soul had
departed... her last deed Salah... in the Masjid.
Nasreen was here for only a week, yet she had
acquainted herself with almost everyone. Her kind
and gentle personality touched all those around her.
Her love for Allah, her love for Salah, her love for
the Qur'an, her desire to spread the Deen made her
who she was - a person who had spread goodness where
ever she went.
I pray to Allah that He forgives and has mercy upon
the deceased and gives patience to all her loved
ones. And may Allah make the journey of this life
easy for us and enable us to do the work of the Deen
in the best manner.
O Allah forgive her and have mercy upon her, grant
her wellbeing and pardon her and receive her
honorably. Expand her place of entry and bathe her
with water, snow and ice and cleanse her of sin like
you cleanse a white garment from dirt. Exchange her
worldly home for a better home and her family for a
better family and her spouse for a better spouse.
Admit her into Paradise and protect her from the
punishment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.
wassalaam

Another Demise
"Demise of an Al
Huda Student while on the path of seeking knowledge"
by Sadia Naveed
I don't know
how to begin.
Today after tafseer class one of our student from
Taleem al Qur'an in her break time she went to the
wash room, came out and fell on the floor, had fits.
immediately two doctors who are our students were
called they checked her and said that there is no
pulse and no heart beat, me, rubaba appa, and doctor
rushed her to the hospital they did what ever was
possible for them but she had already breathed her
last breath.
Inna lillahe wa inna illaihi rajaeun.
Ustaza, she was fasting, died at the time of Friday
prayers, her last deed was to attend the tafseer of
the Quran. She handed her juzz to her sister in
which she wrote till last line of her home work as
what to do in Eid Holidays and said I am going to
wash room so hold it for a moment.
She died when she was in uniform white shalwar
kameez and blue scarf. On the path of seeking ilm.
And Prophet
has given the glad tidings of shahadat (martyrdom)
to a person who dies while he is on the path of
seeking ilm.
we are leaving for her place now for performing the
ghusl.
so unpredictable is life who knows when the time of
last breath comes and all the worldy matters will be
left and the time to face Allah will come all of a
sudden.
May Allah forgive her and us and bless her family
with sabr e jameel
Study of Quran had
changed her life and death
by Sadia Naveed
After
giving her ghusl I went to Al Huda, stayed there
with the staff and students and just came back at
11pm.
At tarawee time we did dua for her. Every eye was
wet as none had ever imagined for such an incident
to occur. Alhamdolillah so many people are praying.
If she had died a few months back i.e. before she
had joined Taleem al Qur'an, her life and death
would have been totally different.
She is being remembered by so many hearts and so
many people praying for her other wise she would
have been unknown for all those who are so
dedicatedly praying for her.

With
heavy heart I wish to inform you that your dear
student and staff member Bushra Malik of Islamabad
died in London today. Inna Lillahe Wa Inna ilaihe
Rajeoon
She was suffering from Cancer near throat since last
three years and was under treatment in London as she
was married there.
She was one of those staff members who joined you in
first Ramadhan in Karachi and worked the whole month
in Karachi. After she returned, she was very happy
and thrilled though by nature she was a quiet, shy
and a very humble person.
Azra informed me that through out her illness she
was very brave and had a son who is two years old.
She also performed Hajj last year and visited all
her family in Pakistan three months back. She told
her Aunt that she was very happy and contented that
she will be able to meet her dear ones in Jannah
Inshallah.
About her son she said she was confident about him
as she was leaving him in safe hands of Allah and
was least worried for him. Her patience and taqwah
was remarkable and her family is also facing
this with great Sabr and Grace.
Ustazah I request you to make a lot of dua for her
as she wanted to talk to you since last two days and
her mother tried but could not somehow.
I request all our dear ones to pray for this lovely
person
Aliya Nasreen - An
Example for Others
Yasmin Khakwani (16
June, 2009)
Our
dear sister, Aliya Nasreen - Branch Incharge of
Bochal kalaan passed away yesterday. Inna lillahi wa
inna ialaihi raji'un
She was a wonderful, dedicated, humble and extremely
hard working person. She started her branch in this
remote area of Bochal kalaan and soon won over the
hearts through her sincere efforts and sincerity.
She started the branch in November 2002 and 4
Batches have passed out. Children daily Nazra Class
and weekly Manar al Islam, summer Courses and Daur e
Quran have been conducted in 17 different vicinities
by graduates.
Welfare work includes ration for needy people, qarz
e husna fund for needy people and encouraging them
for self support and sponsoring education of School
student. All the funds for welfare were generated by
the Branch staff themselves. She had a dream to
establish a a medical free dispensary with ambulance
service and also wanted to start free pick and drop
service to facilitate the staff members so that they
may be able to work more easily .
Her letter is attached which she wrote few months
back after attending one of the Tarbiyati Sessions
in Islamabad although at times her cancer had spread
too far and she knew she will be passing away soon,
but she never stopped working. She also sent her
last report few days back although she was on her
death bed but her level of commitment was to such an
extent that she wrote it herself and sent it by
hand. The Lady who delivered it to Branches Dept,
informed Munawwar that though it was very difficult
for her to write it, but she ensured that the report
is sent by her.
So, she truly acted upon the teachings of Quran and
was the kind of a person who honour their
commitments till the last breath as a quality
mentioned in Surah Al Mominoon: Wallazeena Hum Lee
amanatehim wa ahdehim raoon.
May her students working in Jeddah branch and other
areas be a source of Sadqa e Jaariyah for her. Ameen
and may Allah swt accept all her good deeds and
reward her in Aakhirah. Ameen
About Late Aliya
Nasreen
Saima Riffat (6
July, 2009)
Ustaza I am sending this mail to particularly share
few things about the Branch Incharge of Bochchal
Kala’n, Aliya Nasreen. Aliya was my student and she
completed the course seven years back. She was a
very serious, sincere and hard working lady. Her
husband was employed in Defence, Attock. She had
perhaps moved to the city from the village to do
Masters in English. Then she heard about Al Huda and
decided to join. When she joined, the class had
already done 7 paras. She poured each and every word
in her heart with a view to spread the light of
Quran to the people of her village. When the course
was over she did the 7 paras left, then she got to
know that six month training was necessary to start
a branch. Immediately she started getting the
training over here. She used to hold groups, and the
girls were much attached with her. Her colleagues
kept asking her to finish with batch and then return
to her village. She didn’t listen and went after
completing the training.
When the course was about to close she daily
requested me to find some volunteer for her to work
with for a year only. Then a very young girl got
ready who used to hold the tajweed lessons there. I
am talking about the time when the idea of cassette
listening was nor very popular. I am also glad that
till that batch I held the Quran classes my self.
Any way she started her work in the village without
any resources and requested a school to allow her
the use of two rooms there after the school hours.
So the thing started. Gradually Allah
Subhanawatallah blessed her efforts that soon she
acquired 5 marlas of land that some one donated to
Al Huda. She was really very happy at this
achievement and told me about it on the phone with
great pleasure. Then she wrote me that they got 5
marlas land more to construct the building of AL
Huda, she sold out her gold bangles for this
purpose. When I went there at her death, kept
thinking with tears in my eyes that those bangles
really served her great and the books in the
beautiful shelves were far better that those gold
bangles and the sparkle of the book was flashing in
the eyes of the people better than gold.
When I talked with the friends of Aliya they all
said that she rarely talked about clothes jewelry
and other things but remained worried about Al Huda
always. She did every thing with such haste as if
she knew that she had to return back so early. She
was a very appreciative, loving and respectful girl.
She was greedy after learning deen, people said to
her that she was living in the village without her
husband, she always replied that she did it only for
the sake of Allah Subhanawatallah and that her
husband kept visiting home on weekends. She used to
avoid talking on this issue. Ustaza, she had no
children even after 11, 12 years of marriage. At the
time of death she was around 35. She had done
Masters in Islamic Studies she was diagnosed breast
cancer a year ago. She was being treated during this
period. When I went to visit her she had no
complaints at all.
She got the gratification of performing Umra a month
before her death. Before proceeding for Umra she
talked to me on phone and was told that I was in the
class and then she called again and told that she
was listening to my voice through telephone and then
expressed her feelings with “hasrat” that would she
serve the Deen for some more time. She thought she
couldn’t get more time to serve deen, I consoled her
and this was my last talk with her.
Ustaza when I was leaving for Hajj she said that she
would be sending me the duaas, when I received the
duaas she had crossed the one for children after
writing it down and just wrote one dua, “ My Lord! I
ask for the blessing asked by the Prophet SAW and
protection from the evil of which the Prophet asked
protection.
Ustaza when I went to attend the funeral of Aliya,
the moment her “mayyat” was lifted there started
rain and the weather became surprisingly pleasant.
The people were asking for “rehmah” mercy for her.
Standing in the compound of the Bochchal Kalan
Branch if you look in the front you can see her
grave on the hill. I was getting surprised that what
a great Sadqa Jarya was for her. The people who come
out of the main building in voluntarily look at her
grave and pray for her. It is a great blessing for
her.
Ustaza, the branch is beautiful. The class room is
big enough for 500 people to fit in. All the other
necessities are also provided. May Allah
Subhanawatallah make e her effort a Sadqa Jarya
for her. I am continuously in touch with that branch
so that the work done so far shouldn’t be destroyed.
May Allah Subhanawatallah make most suitable
arrangements for that Branch.
