Share the Blessings – Ramadan Food & Toy Drive 

This Ramadan, Share the Blessings with everyone in the community by participating in our Food & Toy Drive! Help us feed local families by sharing non-perishable food items such as rice, sugar, flour, oil, canned fruits/vegetables and more. Participate in our toy drive by bringing new, packaged toys, and help us brighten a child’s Eid.

Monetary donations are welcome. All food items and toys can be dropped off at Al Huda Institute, 5671 McAdam Road, Mississauga. There are two food bins; one at the main entrance, and one in the women’s prayer area entrance. All toys can be dropped off at reception or in the cafeteria.

*Note: We do our best to allocate and disperse Ramadan donations in the month of Ramadan. Donations that come in too late are either held for the next Ramadan or dispersed in appropriate projects as per need.

Winter Food Drive 2018

Participate in our Winter food Drive and donate non-perishable food items for people in need. Help us support Mayor Crombie’s Holiday Food Drive with the Mississauga Food Bank to help our neighbours in need in our city. 

Drop off all items by Sunday, Dec 16, at: Al Huda Institute, 5671 McAdam Road, Mississauga, ON. The most needed items are: Canned fruits and vegetables, Pasta Sauce, Peanut Butter, Canned fish.

UPDATE

This year, we participated in Mayor Bonnie Crombie’s Holiday Food Drive to help provide ease to those experiencing hunger in our community. In just 11 days, we collected 1100 lbs of non-perishable food items and donated to The Mississauga Food Bank. We’re so grateful to be part of such a generous community Alhamdulillah!

Dhul Hijjah Packing Event

Join us for an exciting afternoon of sorting and packing food and school supplies for distribution before Eid! We will be making food packages and assembling back-to-school kits for families in need within our community. Food packages will consist of non-perishable food items such as rice, flour, sugar, oil, and back-to-school kits will contain school supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and more.

Dhul Hijjah Food and Backpack Drive

The Prophet SAWS has said about the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, “There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days…” (Bukhari)

Our Food and Backpack Drive is aimed at earning the pleasure of Allah in these ten beautiful days by collecting and distributing food items and school supplies for people in need. Drop off all non-perishable food items and school supplies in the cafeteria at Al Huda Institute, 5671 McAdam Rd, Mississauga, until August 19, 2018.

Let’s join this race for good deeds in the best ten days and take this opportunity to help families in need within the community!
